Many Faces of Ella

We took Ella to the Waukesha County Fair last week with Tony's Family, she loved it. She was awake practically the whole time. She loved looking at all the lights in the midway. We all couldn't stop watching her because she had sooo many different facial expressions, we were all cracking up. I thought I would share some of the pictures with you.

Sleeping Baby...

A quick update on Ella! She is doing great! Ella has been in her crib for about 2 weeks now and she is taking the change like a CHAMP! We are putting her to bed around 9pm every night! She doesn't fall asleep right away but she will just talk to herself in her crib until she does. Most nights she has been sleeping from 9pm-3:30 or 4am, then I feed her and she goes right back to sleep. She'll wake up again at around 6 or 7am eat and go to sleep for another couple of hours. Some nights though she will sleep from 9pm-6am and then feed and go back to sleep until like 8 or 9am. We couldn't be more happier for that. We are hoping it stays this way.

We've still been having a great summer. I'm soaking everything in because I will be going back to work in less than 5 weeks. Ella will be 6 weeks tomorrow, that's hard to believe.

We hope everything is going well for everyone.

Take Care!

One Month Appointment

Ella had an EXCELLENT one month appointment!!

Stats:
Current Weight: 8lbs 6oz- she is up 1lb 2oz since her 2 week appointment
Info: 50th percentile for Weight, Height and Head
Sleeping: Pediatrician said we don't need to wake her at night for feedings, YAYAYA!!!!! She can now eat every 3 hours instead of every 2.

The first night that we didn't need to wake her she slept from 11pm-7am. The second night she slept from 10pm-5:30am and then went back to sleep until 8am. Also we had her sleep in her crib for the first time on Saturday night. She did great! She is awake when we put her in there but she just talks to herself until she falls asleep...she is such a smart baby, we are so proud of her!

I'm a little sad though because she is growing so fast and I don't want her too. She has start to smirk at us, but we are waiting for the big smiles. The doctor said she should be smiling more at us in the next week.

Her next appointment is in August for her 2 month check-up.

Our Little Girl Is ONE Month Old!!!!

I can't believe my little girl is one month TODAY! She is truly a blessing. She is such a good baby, Tony and I have adjusted very well to her being here. She has changed so much in one month. If I could let her sleep through the night I would, but the doctor still wanted us to wake and feed her during the night. On Friday we go for her one month check up so hopefully the doctor will give us the go ahead to let her sleep during the night. When Ella is awake she is so active and alert. She loves to just look around and move her arms and legs. We try to put her on her stomach twice a day to help her practice lifting her head. Ella and I are enjoying the summer, I can pretty much take her any where with no problem or crying. She loves riding in the car and going for walks. She is truly the light of our lives and we can't explain how much we love her.

My friend Kristy went back to work today, which was really sad for me because we spent a lot of time together while we were both off. Ella and Madison are already best friends, below you will see in some pictures. We really enjoyed spending time with Kristy and Madison!
We hope everyone is enjoying their summer!!!

Baby Ella Has Arrived

Hi Everyone!

Well we are home and very excited to be here. Nothing beats home especially when you are sleeping in a hospital bed. However, our experience at the hospital was AMAZING!! Every single nurse and doctor that we came in contact with was AWESOME!!! I can't complain about anything. They always checked on us and got us anything we wanted.

The Story of her birth:
Tony and I arrived at the hospital at 3:30am on Monday June 14th. I started having contractions at around 1:45am. They were about 5-6 minutes apart. We were in triage for a couple of hours. I had to walk the halls for an hour to get me more dilated. When we checked into our room I was 3cm. At around 7am they broke my water. Contractions started to pick up and when I started to cry I knew it was time to get the epidural. The epidural was great...at one point though it wasn't numbing my left side so I was feeling the contractions. They had to adjust the cath and give me two extra doses. Then it started to work. The last hour was probably the worst because I had a lot of pressure and I was very nauseous. I wanted to push but couldn't because my doctor hadn't arrived yet. FINALLY at 1:45pm I was able to push. My doctor was great, she is a great motivator. I pushed for 15 minutes and Little Ella arrived at 1:58pm. It was the most incredible thing I have ever experienced in my entire life! Tony was AMAZING! He was there every step of the way and calmed me at the end when it got rough. He saw the birth of his daughter and said it was amazing. Both grandma's were there at the time of her birth and were so excited to see her right after.
Since we've been home things have been good, but also different. Ella eats every 2-3 hours so Tony and I set an alarm and wake up to feed and change her. She would probably sleep most of the night if we let her, but she needs to eat. She does have a small case of Jaundice, but nothing serious. This can get taken care of by just feeding her and having her poop all the time :). She is such a sweet little girl. She only cries when she is hungry, has a dirty diaper or is naked. We really love our peditrician. She has helped us with things that we have questions on and has given us a plan thus far for Ella. She says Ella is a perfectly healthy baby. We see her next for Ella's two week appointment. Also Ella is getting an Echo on July 2nd just to make sure everything is good. I have no worries about that.

We just wanted to thank everyone for visiting in the hospital and at home. We have such wonderful friends and family.
Tony and I can't even explain how much we love her!!!
