6 Months!

Ella had her 6 Month appointment yesterday. Everything went really well. She is able to move up to the next level of foods and we are able to start giving her water from a sippy cup. She is such a big girl! Dr. Grunske was very impressed on how well she is doing with sort of sitting up on her own. She said to start getting prepared because in the next few months Ella will really become mobile! Scary! Ella got two shots also, that was not fun, she screamed and screamed, I'm not looking forward to when she realizes she will be getting shots when she goes to the doctor.

Stats:
Weight- 14lb 14oz: 5oth percentile (Doubled her weight since birth)
Height- 25 3/4 inches: 75th percentile (not sure where she is getting the height from)

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Here are some pictures from her 6 month photoshoot :).

Santa!!!!

Ella got to see Santa for the first time on Wednesday. My work put on a kids holiday party. It was a lot of fun. We had crafts and snacks along with Santa. Ella liked Santa, no tears, she doesn't know any better yet. My friend Marcie brought her little man too he is so cute! A lot of my friends that I work with have kids too, they also brought them. Below are some pictures.

Ella turned 6 months on Tuesday, so crazy! We have her 6 month appointment on Monday so I'll have more updates after that.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We did over here. We were excited to celebrate Ella's first Thanksgiving! We are so thankful to have her in our lives and can't wait to celebrate more firsts with her. This week also brings back memories to a year ago when we got news that there might be something genetically wrong with her. Now looking back on that we are so thankful for the miracle that she is. Even if something would've been wrong with her we would love her just as much. Every time I look at her and she does something to make me laugh it makes me think how blessed we are to have her. There is no way of explaining how much a child can bring joy and love to your life until you have your own. Everyday I'm thankful to her in our lives. Here are some pictures from Thanksgiving!
Also Ella rolled over on November 22nd, but mommy and daddy saw her roll over on November 23rd :). She is still getting the hang of it, but she is doing great!

Happy Family!

5 Months Old

Hi Everyone!

Ella turned 5 months old on Sunday. She is getting so big! We are enjoying every moment with her. She is currently eating fruits and after we get through all the fruits we can then start giving her both fruits and veggies in one day. She loves bananas! She is opening her mouth and swallowing her food. It was messy in the beginning but she is really understanding now. We got her highchair this week, which is much easier then sitting on the floor and feeding her.
Ella is talking and laughing so much! She loves to hear her voice. She screams, yells and smiles all the time! We love making her laugh and playing with her. She enjoys laying on her activity mat, she hits and grabs her toys that hang from it. She also still loves the exersaucer. She has yet to roll over yet but she pulls her feet above her head. She is very strong and holds her head very well. I think she will sit up before she rolls over. She still is a great sleeper, which makes mommy and daddy so happy!

Tony and I are very excited to celebrate the upcoming holidays with her. I think she is going to love the Christmas tree when we put it up. It's hard to believe that we are already approaching Thanksgiving and Christmas! I can remember last year when we were telling people we were having a baby and now we have her here with us! Time does fly!

We hope everyone is doing good! Enjoy your Thanksgiving!

4 Months

I know it's been a while since I've posted, since now I'm writing about Ella turning 4 months, when my last post was from when she turned 3 months.

Stats:
Weight: 12lbs 14oz
Height: 24 1/4 inches
50th precentile for everything

The doctor was so impressed by how much she has grown and how much she moves around. Ella lifts her legs up and grabs them, the doctor said that is what a Six month old does, we have an advanced one on our hands. However, she won't roll over yet. The doctor suggested that we get her an exersaucer because her head is a little flat on the right side. She isn't concerned about her head development but she wants to make sure it is developing correctly. Of course Ella loves to sleep on the right side of her head, so we try hard to keep her up right throughout the day. It can get rather difficult though since she can't hold herself up yet. Plus she gets annoyed being in the bumbo and exersaucer for real long periods of time, more the bumbo then anything.

We also started Ella on Rice Cereal last Monday, she is doing great with that. She still is spitting it out though, but I'm sure she will get the hang of it. After she gets the hang of the opening her mouth, eating from the spoon and the swallowing, we can start her on veggies. I can't believe we are already to this point.

As I've said before Ella is our pride and joy. She is what I would call a perfect baby. We can take her anywhere and she does an excellent job. For the most part she is always happy, she loves to laugh and smile at us all the time. We can't even remember our lives before she came along. I'm espeically excited for the future and for the upcoming holidays.

As for Tony and I we acutally got out last Friday and went to dinner and a Haunted house with all of our friends. We hadn't seen most of them in a really long time, so it was great to just hang out with them and have awesome time! When you become parents it's very hard to see your friends all the time. My parents watched Ella for us, we didn't have to twist their arms too hard ;)...they love having her and she loves being over there!

Some recent news on my end. I recently received a promotion and am now working in HR Department at GMR. I'm really loving it. I'm learning so much and developing my career.

I hope everyone is doing well! I'll to make these post more frequent!
